I'm Mareike...

... and I'm holding a space for you.

 I am a mother of a 2-year-old, and I live with my family in Amsterdam, Netherlands. I am a certified 500h yoga teacher, specializing in pre-/postnatal yoga and Vinyasa Yoga. Besides yoga, I am inspired by Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Human Design, Personal Development, and a lot of methodologies I've been learning and practicing in the corporate world.

My yoga classes are characterized as gentle flows that are for everyone and are packed with stories. I love stories! You will leave the class feeling strong, calm and centered. 

The mama balance circle is a heart project of mine. With this "experiment" I want to hold a space for women who take care of others and easily forget themselves. My long-term mission with Studio Mayoga is to help mothers find their strength and confidence in this truly life-changing, never-ending transformation.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will the Circle take place?

The sessions of the Mama Balance Circle occur online monthly on a Friday afternoon/evening. The sessions take ~ 120 minutes.

Who can participate?

Any mother can participate. Either you're pregnant or have just given birth, either your child/-ren is/are very young, or already a few years old. The fact is, you're taking care not only of yourself, but juggling many different needs simultaneously, and you're seeking to find balance and a space of calm.

What will I need for the sessions?

Please wear comfortable clothes and pick a cozy spot in your home. Ideally, you can use a yoga mat, blocks and pillows. But a carpet and sofa cushions work fine as well. For the beginning, you can either make yourself comfortable on your mat, or choose another spot, if preferred. Besides that, I recommend to have pen and paper/notebook ready, should you want to write down anything.

What can I expect?

The Mama Balance Circle is a monthly online series of group sessions that you can book per session. You can expect to learn more about yourself, move your body in a gentle, but energizing way, and meet other mothers. The sessions happen online and the recordings are available shortly after, for 6 months.

How much time will I invest?

The monthly sessions take ~120 minutes. Should the time not work for you, you have access to the recording shortly after the session.
